Mono column widths can be adjusted via the Blogger Template Designer
4:19 pm

In case you need a little more width on your blog, Mono column sizes can be adjusted to fit.  Here's a screen grab of the template at maximum width (1500px) with the sidebar at 400px.

Wiiiiiiide!

You'd probably never use these extreme widths, but hey, at least you know your theme will be up to the challenge if you do!

Mono makes use of customizable SVG icons
1:26 pm

Bundled with the Mono theme comes 12 icons you can use to link to your content elsewhere on the web.

However, these aren’t just any icons - they’re SVG icons, which means you can change their initial and rollover colors right from Blogger’s ‘Customize Template’ editor. No photo editing software required.

(Note: SVG icons will only work with modern browsers. The icons will default to simple text buttons for IE6, IE7 and IE8 users.)

So, when you feel like changing your theme's colors, you can change your icon colors right along with them. To do so, just:
  1. Log in to your blog's admin panel,
  2. click on 'Templates' in the left hand menu,
  3. under the 'Live on Blog' section, click on the 'Customize' button,
  4. click on 'Advanced' in the top left text menu,
  5. then scroll down and click 'Link Icons'.

Automatically formatted headings
10:55 am

If you were writing a long post with many headings, normally you'd have to style each of those headings individually.

For example, let's say you had 15 different headings in your posts and you wanted each to be large, blue and bold.  To achieve this you'd need to highlight each one, then choose a size, and then choose a color, and then choose bold.  15 times.  Ugghh.

The Mono theme makes use of modern CSS to take some of this pain away.

Large and Largest
We've added in some extra style rules that automatically add some basic styling to your headings.  So when you choose 'Large' from the font size drop-down you now automatically get some styling added to your heading as well.  Same goes for 'Largest'.

Want to change the 'Large' and 'Largest' styles?  No problem:
  1. Log in to your blog's admin panel,
  2. click on 'Templates' in the left hand menu,
  3. under the 'Live on Blog' section, click on the 'Customize' button,
  4. click on 'Advanced' in the top left text menu,
  5. then scroll down and click either 'Post Heading Largest' or 'Post Heading Large'.
From here you can custom style your 'Large' and 'Largest' headings to your heart's content!

Introducing... Mono
8:24 am

Hungry birds coming to eat you? Run!

Mono is a classy template designed to get down on one knee and present an expensive bunch of fresh flowers to your fine-boned, delicately featured content on a daily basis.

If you're tired of the dirty socks and miscellaneous belly-button found objects your current theme leaves lying around (despite your constant but subtle 'tidy-the-hell-up' suggestions), why not give Mono a try?

Your world will almost instantly transform from a dull, dull grey into a scenic panorama of birds, mountains and setting suns. You won't look back. Hurrah!

Mono demands respect
4:20 pm

Try Mono: it's almost as fun as lighting flares and tossing them in your neighbor's yard!
There's nothing worse than penning a magnificent post, handing it over to your theme and finding that it shows as much regard for your words as a drunk neighbor playing Kenny Rodgers tracks at 130 decibels around 3 in the morning shows for your sleep patterns and/or hardcore gaming habits.

Fortunately, Mono is the type of theme that doesn't take that sort of suburban bullying lying down.

It takes your content and instantly rebuilds it's self-esteem until it has enough chutzpah to head next door, knock loudly and demand the playlist be changed to something including the Chemical Brothers, or at least a Dolly Parton duet.
